The AI Safety Handbook for Parents and Educators aims to provide accurate, child-friendly information on AI safety that parents and educators can easily access. In this project, I worked as an Illustrator and Creative Web Designer, and soon I will assist in the graphic development of the Handbook, which will compile the project’s key information.
The graphic conceptualization featured a series of digital watercolor illustrations designed to resemble artwork created by children. Adults are depicted interacting with geometric shapes in a more defined, “digital” style, symbolizing the abstraction of the concept of artificial intelligence. Parents are portrayed seeking information to better understand this idea, enabling them to explain it to their children.
The illustrations reflect the diversity of the audience we aim to reach, considering that AI technology will eventually be integrated into various cultures, interacting with people of all ages. They aim to spark conversations about the dynamics we will need to navigate as we engage with these technologies.
A color palette of soft yet vibrant tones was chosen, evoking the style of children’s illustration books.
This project will be translated into over 5 languages, and more illustrations will be added in the future!
